D.C. Mall police ready for anything, Vendors maybe not

International Communications Broadcast Systems Inc. – Washington D.C. – With Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and crowd estimates ranging from 3 to 300,000; tomorrow’s planned “Restoring Honor” event promises to challenge even the souvenir and food vendor regulars on the National Mall. “What do we stock up on?” asked Hymie Abramovitz, a hot dog cart operator who is a long-known mall institution.  “Do these people even eat meat?”

Saleeh Mustava who has long operated a souvenir stand near the steps of the Lincoln Memorial laughed, “I”m calling in sick.” Authorities have consistently insisted they are ready for any eventuality. Yet they too are somewhat surprised as to the varying estimates of attendance.
