Shields – Longmont, CO. - Prosecutors on Wednesday charged a Longmont woman with one count of misdemeanor animal cruelty after police arrested her Tuesday after she stuffed a days-old Chihuahua puppy down her pants, police reported. Johna Turner pleaded not guilty to the charge and is scheduled to return to Boulder County Court in Longmont on Oct. 18 for a case management conference in the case. She remained in the Boulder County Jail on Thursday on a $2,500 bond.
