Queens woman sues casino that offered her steak dinner instead of $43 million prize for entire jackpot

nydailynews.com – BY Jessica Schladebeck – The Queens woman who was offered a steak dinner after staff said her $43 million win at a slot machine was the result of a glitch is suing the casino for the entire jackpot. Katrina Bookman in August posed for a selfie at New York’s Resorts World Casino in front of the “Sphinx Slot Machine,” its screen promising her a grand prize of $42,949,672.76. When she attempted to collect her cash, however, casino employees told her she hadn’t actually won and offered her a complimentary steak dinner and $2.25 — the prize they claim her slot machine actually should have delivered.

Why NBC Shouldn’t Air Megyn Kelly’s Interview With Alex Jones

variety.com – By Maureen Ryan – Context matters. It’s one of the basic tenets of journalism, but it’s worth recalling this week, a week in which Megyn Kelly is set to give a platform to a man who cast doubts on the awful (and irrefutable) facts of the Sandy Hook murders. Yesterday there was an attempt to clamp down on the activities of journalists interviewing members of Congress inside the Capitol, even as a crucial (and secret) bill is under consideration. Also this week: Incoming member of Congress Greg Gianforte was sentenced to zero jail time after physically assaulting a reporter in front of witnesses.

(Here’s a hypothetical for you: Would there have been no jail time — only community service and anger management classes — if any reporter had ever violently body-slammed a politician in full view of witnesses? No, I don’t think so either.)

Total Vetting Fail: Left-Wing Snowden Fan Girl Reality Winner Gets Access to Our NSA Secrets

breitbart.com – by John Hayward – The news reads like something out of a screwball comedy: a far-left activist named “Reality Leigh Winner” somehow received clearance to work for the National Security Agency, which she allegedly proceeded to rob of classified material in the name of the kookburger anti-Trump “Resistance.” In the post-Edward Snowden era, how does someone like this get anywhere near sensitive data?

Vladimir Putin: US hackers could have framed Russia over election attacks

dailytelegraph.uk.co – By Chris Graham – Vladimir Putin has said hackers from the US could have been behind the attacks that targeted America’s  presidential election last year.   In an interview with NBC News, the Russian president tried to shift the blame away from Moscow after he was asked to explain his earlier claim that private “patriotic” hackers could have interfered with the election.

“Hackers can be anywhere. They can be in Russia, in Asia…even in America, Latin America,” he said.
